about quest

Quest Assessments are used by a growing number of independent schools as part of their admissions process. Unlike a single standardised exam, each school can configure a Quest test around its own priorities, meaning formats vary significantly and some sections may be adaptive. Assessments may be used from 7+ to 16+ and can include English, maths, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, problem solving, puzzles, creative comprehension and written tasks. We provide tailored preparation aligned to each student’s target school, helping them understand the format, strengthen key skills and perform confidently on the day.

Why pick us?

Why pick us?

Quest assessments can be difficult for families to navigate because each school may use a different combination of subjects, timings and formats. Some schools use a fully computer-based assessment, while others combine online sections with written tasks or further admissions stages. We help families understand what is likely to be required for each target school, ensuring preparation is focused, relevant and aligned with the specific assessment format. Our tutors support students across the key areas commonly assessed, including English, maths, verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, problem solving and creative comprehension. This school-specific approach ensures students are not simply preparing for a generic exam, but for the assessment they are most likely to face.

Our process

Precision, planning, and proven results

We design bespoke tuition programmes following a confidential consultation, carefully matching each student with the right tutor and monitoring progress with discreet, ongoing oversight.

  1. Step 1

    Scoping Call or Meeting

We begin with a confidential consultation to understand the student’s academic background, target schools, admissions timeline and the specific Quest assessment requirements.

  2. Step 2

    Initial Assessment

An initial assessment helps establish the student’s current level across relevant areas such as English, maths, reasoning, problem solving, comprehension and written expression.

  3. Step 3

    Tutor Matching & Preparation Plan

We match each student with a suitable tutor and develop a structured preparation plan tailored to the school’s assessment format, subjects and timeline.

  4. Step 4

    Tuition, Practice & Progress Tracking

Students receive focused tuition, targeted practice and ongoing feedback, with progress monitored throughout to ensure preparation remains clear, purposeful and aligned with the target school.
